I am retired from a career as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas. However, I have not given up my passion for seeking a better future for vulnerable families, children and youth. A joyful day is to have a positive connection with a person that ends with a smile.
I joined the Hearts Board because of that passion and the fact that through my work in the field of adoption, I chanced to visit Romania. I love Romania and the people there. Traveling there was the beginning of developing a real world view; volunteering with Hearts is a way I can keep that connection in real time.
I believe Hearts can make a difference in lives with targeted support that will lead to independence and to passing it on! To do that we on the board also have the opportunity to educate friends and potential donors on why and how they can be part of the Hearts mission.
