Andrei-Ionut

Ionut was born January 15, 1992. This eleventh-grade young man does well in school where he is studying to be an auto electrician. Ionut’s parents divorced when he was five; his father abandoned them, and his mother and sister moved to Italy. Ionut then moved in and grew up with his grandfather, working at a young age to contribute to his expenses. Ionut heard of the UPSV transitional center and moved in as soon as he was able to in March, 2011. Ionut keeps in touch with his mother, who sustains him mentally, but is unable to support him financially. Ionut, who speaks English, is a beatiful artist, enjoys playing basketball, listening to music, walking, making friends, and reading books. He dreams of going to college so "he can create a stable situation in the future and start a family with love and understanding so my kids won’t go through what I had to go through.”

If he attends University, he will begin in 2013. It will cost approximately $700/year. He hopes to study at the Transilvanian Univeristy in Brasov, Romania.
