Daiana VarvaraDaiana Varvara was born on December 28, 2000, and her family has serious socio-economic problems. A fire destroyed their home and the parents, along with their three children, remained homeless for two years, living off of the charity of their relatives, the state allowance for children and a pension for the father. The family was able to obtain some housing through the help of Catharsis, a social service agency in Brasov, but they are now threatened with eviction because of unpaid debts for rent. The father of the children is suffering from a medical condition and is unable to work. The eldest daughter, who has been diagnosed with epilepsy, has a young child she is trying to support. The family is in need of financial and material support in order to keep the children together and to prevent losing their housing. |
